It’s new revitalized downtown with a twenty-screen theatre complex, boasts some of the finest restaurants, specialty shops, and hometown ambiance in the area. Redwood City celebrates community and neighborhood pride with one of the nation’s largest 4th of July parades, as well as, a Salsa Festival, Summer Dance Series, Pet Parade and a multitude of arts fairs and music concerts.

It has a booming business climate with Oracle technology giant at its center, and its Seaport Conference Center attracts visitors from around the globe. It features a large variety of housing opportunities from its tranquil shores through its lush rolling hills. Redwood Shores is a waterfront community built from reclaimed land in the marshes, similar to Foster City. Before moving to Vallejo, Marine World was situated right in Redwood Shores along the Bay. In Redwood Shores there are many town-homes, apartments and condominiums, many of which have docks. Redwood Shores often host college rowing races for Pac-12 Universities in the lagoons.

The wildlife in Redwood Shores is extensive and you just might be able to spot a blue heron, jelly fish or sting ray! Several major tech companies maintain headquarters in Redwood Shores. Its proximity to the San Mateo-Hayward bridge make it a convenient spot for those who travel to the East Bay often.
