Half Moon Bay

Coastal living at its finest, you can enjoy the stunning Pacific Ocean while only a short distance you may find yourself amongst the oldest Redwood trees in the nation. The Bay is full of charm and encompasses all that a beach town has to offer. Grab a cup of clam chowder at Sam’s or spend a day at the spa at the Ritz Carlton while enjoying the costal breeze. Known as a surfers dream, you can find some of the world’s biggest waves where The Mavericks are held via invite only.

Miramar Beach is a popular destination to relax on the beach or stroll along The California Coastal Trail and if you’re lucky, do some whale watching! Step back in time on Historic Main Street with several mom and pop shops and restaurants. The Zaballa House; the oldest home in The Bay can be found here as well. There are several art galleries and workshop classes offered downtown. The  Bay hosts an annual Art and Pumpkin Festival as well as many Christmas festivities. The Bay is recognized as one of the first real towns in San Mateo County and was known as San Benito.
